How to publish Shopify products on Mercado Libre
Connect Shopify and Mercado Libre and turn on the Publish flow from Shopify to Mercado Libre: each Shopify product not yet listed is created on Mercado Libre with a predicted category, and products missing the category's required attributes are reported instead of failing. The Product data and Prices flows then keep titles, descriptions, images and prices up to date.
What you need.
- A Shopify store where you can approve apps.
- A Mercado Libre seller account.
- Products with images, and a SKU on each variant.
The setup.
Connect Mercado Libre
One click: you sign in to Mercado Libre and authorize NexxoSync. Tokens are obtained and renewed automatically.
- In NexxoSync, go to Connections and choose Mercado Libre.
- Click “Connect with Mercado Libre” and sign in with your seller account.
- Approve access. You return to NexxoSync with the account connected.
Connect Shopify
One click: you approve the NexxoSync app in your Shopify admin. No custom apps and no tokens to copy.
- In NexxoSync, go to Connections and choose Shopify.
- Enter your store's myshopify.com address and click “Connect with Shopify”.
- Approve the permissions in Shopify. Real-time notifications are registered automatically.
Create the integration
Create an integration between Mercado Libre and Shopify. The wizard asks where your catalog lives and where sales are recorded, and proposes a table of flows: one row per kind of data, each with its own direction.
Set the flows
Turn on these rows. The others can stay off, or be set to your case: directions a platform's API doesn't allow are disabled, with the reason.
- Publish new products: Shopify → Mercado Libre. Off by default. Turn it on to create listings for new products.
- Product data: Shopify → Mercado Libre. Title, description, images and attributes of linked listings.
- Prices: Shopify → Mercado Libre. Optionally with a markup to cover marketplace fees.
Link your products
NexxoSync proposes links between both catalogs by SKU: confirm them. Products without a SKU can be linked by hand. Only linked products are synced. Products that only exist in Shopify are created in Mercado Libre by the Publish flow, which is off by default.
Simulate and turn it on
Simulate the stock, price and customer flows to see every change they would make, without writing anything. Then turn the integration on: flows run on every change where the platform sends notifications, with a scheduled run as a safety net, and every run is recorded in the history.
Tips from real setups.
- Set publishing rules: only active products, a minimum stock or price, at least one image, or only mapped categories.
- Publishing is off by default, so nothing is created until you turn it on.
- Turn on the Stock flow from Shopify to Mercado Libre too, so the new listings never sell what you don't have.
How to publish Shopify products on Mercado Libre
Will it overwrite descriptions I edited on Mercado Libre?
Only if you turn on the Product data flow in that direction. You choose which fields are mapped.
What if a product is missing required attributes?
It is flagged and not published until you complete them. The rest of the catalog is published normally.
Are variants published as one listing?
Yes. Variants travel with their attributes, whatever they are, and each one is linked by SKU.
