This policy explains how NexxoSync uses cookies and similar technologies (the browser's local and session storage) on the website https://nexxosync.com, in the application https://app.nexxosync.com and in the chatbot widget that merchants can add to their own websites.
A cookie is a small file a website stores in your browser to remember something between one request or visit and the next. Some are strictly necessary for a service you asked for; others, such as analytics, are optional and need your consent.
01Three places, three sets of rules
| Where | What it stores | Consent needed |
|---|---|---|
| Website (https://nexxosync.com) | Nothing by default. Google Analytics cookies only if you accept them; your choice in local storage | Yes, for analytics |
| App (https://app.nexxosync.com) | Strictly necessary cookies (session, workspace, connection flow) and interface preferences | No: they are needed to provide the service you request |
| Chatbot widget on a merchant's site | No cookies; the conversation in local storage on the visitor's device | No: it only stores what is needed for the chat the visitor opens |
03Analytics, only with your consent
If analytics is enabled, the website can use Google Analytics 4 to count visits and understand which pages are useful. It is opt-in: Google Analytics is not loaded, and sets no cookies, until you click "Accept" in the consent banner. "Reject" is offered with the same prominence as "Accept", and rejecting has no effect on how the site works.
If you accept, Google sets these cookies:
| Cookie | Provider | Purpose | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| _ga | Distinguishes one browser from another to count unique visitors | 2 years | |
| _ga_<ID> | Keeps the state of the analytics session (<ID> is the property's measurement ID) | 2 years |
- Google Analytics 4 does not log or store IP addresses; it uses them only transiently to derive approximate location.
- Advertising features, Google signals and data sharing for ads are disabled.
- Analytics data is not combined with app account data and is not used to identify you.
Google acts as our processor for this service; sending data to Google may involve an international transfer, covered as described in Subprocessors.
04How your choice is stored and how to change it
Your choice is saved in your browser's local storage under the key nx-consent, with the value granted (accepted) or denied (rejected). It is not a cookie and is never sent to our servers. It stays until you change it or clear your browser's site data; if you clear it, the banner will ask again.
You can change your choice at any time with the control below, or with "Cookie preferences" in the footer of every page. If you withdraw consent, analytics stops loading from that moment; to remove cookies already set, delete them in your browser settings.
06The chatbot widget on merchants' websites
Merchants can add the NexxoSync chatbot to their own website. The widget loads inside a frame served from https://app.nexxosync.com and sets no cookies. To let a returning visitor see their earlier messages, it keeps the conversation (the latest messages and a conversation identifier) in that browser's local storage under the key nexxosync-chatbot-<token>, where <token> identifies the merchant's chatbot.
- This entry stays on the visitor's device until they press "Clear conversation" in the chat window or clear the site data in the browser.
- Messages sent to the chatbot are processed on our servers to produce the reply, as described in the Privacy Policy.
- Some browsers partition or block storage in embedded frames; in that case the chat works but does not remember earlier messages.
The merchant decides to use the widget on its site and is responsible for informing its visitors, including in its own cookie notice. NexxoSync acts as the merchant's processor for those conversations.
08Changes and contact
If we add cookies or change their purpose, we will update this policy before doing so and, where consent is required, ask for it first.
