How to sync stock between Mercado Libre and Shopify
Use Shopify as the single source of stock. NexxoSync copies the stock of each Shopify variant to its linked Mercado Libre listing and variation on every change, and creates each Mercado Libre sale as a Shopify order, so the unit is discounted in Shopify and the new figure goes back to Mercado Libre. You can simulate it before turning it on.
What you need.
- A Mercado Libre seller account.
- A Shopify store where you can approve apps.
- The same SKU on each product and variation in both catalogs, so listings are linked automatically.
The setup.
Connect Mercado Libre
One click: you sign in to Mercado Libre and authorize NexxoSync. Tokens are obtained and renewed automatically.
- In NexxoSync, go to Connections and choose Mercado Libre.
- Click “Connect with Mercado Libre” and sign in with your seller account.
- Approve access. You return to NexxoSync with the account connected.
Connect Shopify
One click: you approve the NexxoSync app in your Shopify admin. No custom apps and no tokens to copy.
- In NexxoSync, go to Connections and choose Shopify.
- Enter your store's myshopify.com address and click “Connect with Shopify”.
- Approve the permissions in Shopify. Real-time notifications are registered automatically.
Create the integration
Create an integration between Mercado Libre and Shopify. The wizard asks where your catalog lives and where sales are recorded, and proposes a table of flows: one row per kind of data, each with its own direction.
Set the flows
Turn on these rows. The others can stay off, or be set to your case: directions a platform's API doesn't allow are disabled, with the reason.
- Stock: Shopify → Mercado Libre. Per variant, from the Shopify locations you include.
- Orders: Mercado Libre → Shopify. Each Mercado Libre sale becomes a Shopify order.
Link your products
NexxoSync proposes links between both catalogs by SKU: confirm them. Products without a SKU can be linked by hand. Only linked products are synced.
Simulate and turn it on
Simulate the stock, price and customer flows to see every change they would make, without writing anything. Then turn the integration on: flows run on every change where the platform sends notifications, with a scheduled run as a safety net, and every run is recorded in the history.
Tips from real setups.
- Choose which Shopify locations count: only the stock of the locations you include is sent to Mercado Libre.
- If the same units are also sold in a physical store, hold back a safety stock so the last ones aren't sold online.
- If you manage stock in Mercado Libre instead, reverse the Stock flow: each flow has its own direction.
How to sync stock between Mercado Libre and Shopify
How fast does stock update after a sale?
Seconds. Shopify and Mercado Libre both send notifications, so with the flow set to run on every change, stock moves right after each sale. A scheduled run every 15 minutes acts as a safety net.
What about listings without a SKU?
Link them by hand in NexxoSync. Only linked products are synced, so an unlinked listing is never touched.
Does it work with Mercado Livre in Brazil?
Yes. Brazil is one of the Mercado Libre sites you can connect, and the site itself is available in Portuguese.
