How to sell on eBay from WooCommerce

Connect your WooCommerce store and your eBay seller account, choosing the eBay site you sell on, and turn on Publish, Stock, Prices and Orders. WooCommerce products, including variable ones, are listed on eBay; stock and prices follow WooCommerce; and each eBay sale is created as a WooCommerce order, so stock is discounted in one place.

Before you start

What you need.

  • An eBay seller account with business policies (shipping, payment, returns) and an inventory location.
  • A WooCommerce store reachable over HTTPS.
  • A SKU on each product and variation.
Step by step

The setup.

  1. Connect eBay

One click: you choose the eBay site, sign in to eBay and authorize NexxoSync. Tokens are renewed automatically.

    1. In NexxoSync, go to Connections, choose eBay and the site you sell on (eBay.com, eBay.co.uk, eBay.es, eBay.de…).
    2. Click “Connect with eBay” and sign in with your seller account.
    3. Approve access. To publish, your account needs business policies (shipping, payment, returns) and an inventory location.
  2. Connect WooCommerce

One click: WooCommerce opens its own authorization screen in your store and the API keys are created for you. Manual keys also work.

    1. In NexxoSync, go to Connections and choose WooCommerce.
    2. Enter your store address and click “Connect with WooCommerce”.
    3. Approve access in your WordPress admin. Webhooks are registered automatically.
  3. Create the integration

Create an integration between eBay and WooCommerce. The wizard asks where your catalog lives and where sales are recorded, and proposes a table of flows: one row per kind of data, each with its own direction.

  4. Set the flows

Turn on these rows. The others can stay off, or be set to your case: directions a platform's API doesn't allow are disabled, with the reason.

    • Publish new products: WooCommerce → eBay. Off by default. Turn it on to create listings for new products.
    • Stock: WooCommerce → eBay. Per variation, in batches.
    • Prices: WooCommerce → eBay. Optionally with a markup to cover eBay's fees.
    • Orders: eBay → WooCommerce. Each eBay sale is created as a WooCommerce order.
  5. Link your products

NexxoSync proposes links between both catalogs by SKU: confirm them. Products without a SKU can be linked by hand. Only linked products are synced. Products that only exist in WooCommerce are created in eBay by the Publish flow, which is off by default.

  6. Simulate and turn it on

Simulate the stock, price and customer flows to see every change they would make, without writing anything. Then turn the integration on: flows run on every change where the platform sends notifications, with a scheduled run as a safety net, and every run is recorded in the history.

Good to know

Tips from real setups.

  • With the Shipment Tracking extension in WooCommerce, the tracking number of each shipped eBay order goes back to eBay.
  • Listings you already have in Seller Hub must be migrated to eBay's inventory API before they can be linked. NexxoSync does it in one step; it can't be undone.
  • Add a markup on the Prices flow to cover eBay's fees, and round the result.
Frequently asked questions

How to sell on eBay from WooCommerce

Do I need a WordPress plugin?

No. NexxoSync uses WooCommerce's REST API and webhooks; you approve access once from your store. Shipment Tracking is only needed to send tracking numbers to eBay.

Which eBay site will my products be listed on?

The one you choose when connecting: each eBay connection is one site, with its currency and language.

Can WooCommerce orders be sent to eBay?

No. eBay does not let sellers create orders, so orders only go from eBay to WooCommerce.
