How to upload tracking numbers to eBay automatically
Bring your eBay sales into the system you ship from (Shopify, WooCommerce, Tiendanube, PrestaShop or Odoo) with NexxoSync's Orders flow, and leave its option to send the tracking number back on. When the order gets a tracking number there, NexxoSync reports it to eBay with the carrier and the sale is marked as shipped, once per order.
What you need.
- An eBay seller account.
- The store or ERP you ship from: Shopify, WooCommerce (with Shipment Tracking), Tiendanube, PrestaShop or Odoo (with its shipping module).
The setup.
Connect eBay and the system you ship from
Authorize your eBay seller account and connect the store or ERP where you prepare shipments.
Bring eBay orders there
Create an integration and turn on the Orders flow from eBay. eBay notifies each paid sale right away, and it is created as an order in your system.
Leave tracking on
In the Orders flow, the option to send the tracking number back to the channel where the sale was made is on by default.
Ship as usual
Fulfill the order in Shopify, add the tracking with Shipment Tracking in WooCommerce, mark the shipment in Tiendanube, set the order's carrier tracking number in PrestaShop, or validate the delivery in Odoo.
eBay is updated
NexxoSync sends the tracking number and carrier to eBay and the sale is marked as shipped. It happens once per order and shows up in the run history.
Tips from real setups.
- Cancellations travel the other way: if a sale is cancelled on eBay, its order in your system is cancelled too, unless it was already shipped or invoiced.
- In Odoo, the tracking number is read from validated deliveries, so the shipping module must be installed.
- In WooCommerce, tracking is read from the Shipment Tracking extension; without it there is no tracking number to send.
How to upload tracking numbers to eBay automatically
Is the tracking sent more than once?
No. Each order's tracking number is sent once and remembered.
Does it work for Mercado Libre too?
Sending tracking back is done for eBay. Mercado Libre shipments are usually handled by Mercado Envíos on Mercado Libre's side.
What if the order was cancelled on eBay before shipping?
Its order in your system is cancelled and the stock comes back. If it had already been shipped or invoiced, it is left as it is and flagged in the run.
